Sunday 5 April, 12-4.30pm, Tī kōuka mat workshop

(Rekindle Workshop, upstairs in the Boys’ High building at The Arts Centre, 28 Worcester Boulevard)

This workshop teaches you to use tī kōuka or cabbage tree leaves to weave a table mat, which involves a basic round weave that is a great starting point for beginner weavers. This technique can be used with many different plant fibres & other materials.

If you have access to tī kōuka / cabbage tree leaves, do bring in as big a bundle as you can! We have plenty though so no problem if you haven't found your local source yet.

There are 10 places available in this workshop and booking is essential, and non-refundable.

We are grateful for the support of CNZ, which has allowed us to offer this class at a subsidised rate.
