Food preserving is a resourceful way to reduce waste, make the most of seasonal produce, and create long-lasting pantry staples. In this hands-on demonstration workshop, Sonia will introduce two key preserving methods: pressure canning and dehydrating.
Participants will help with simple preparation such as chopping fruit or vegetables, while Sonia demonstrates each technique and explains how to do it safely at home. Although you won’t take food away, you’ll gain practical knowledge about choosing produce, preparing jars, and understanding when each method is best used. A great introduction for anyone wanting to preserve more of their harvest and make their food go further.
Bookings are non-refundable. If for any reason (this includes illness, travel delays, and injuries) you need to cancel your workshop, you will receive a refund minus a $30 administration fee. This is provided you contact us at least 14 full days before your booking.
Please see our Cancellation Policy for more details.
