Imogen McRae

Imogen (Mo) McRae is a traditional craftswoman born and raised in Aotearoa, now sharing skills and knowledge she learned during time spent in Norway. Her practice is grounded in the belief that many modern challenges can be met through traditional knowledge, practical making, and crafts passed down through generations.

Mo teaches in ways that reconnects people with the deep reward of working slowly and skilfully with natural materials in their hands. As a guest tutor in our 2026 programme, she will be offering workshops in Brikkevev (card weaving) and Fish Skin Tanning. Follow Mo’s journey here.
