Wednesday 7 February, 6.30pm to 8.30pm - Foundation 1 GreenWoodWorking (GWW): Making clothes pegs with local hazel at Rekindle's Resourceful Ōtautahi workshop at the Albert Hall, Ferrymead Heritage Park, Ferrymead, Ōtautahi Christchurch.
This workshop is not just about pegs, it is instead the beginning of you becoming a skilled Greenwood-worker!
This workshop will give you the technique for making your own clothes pegs from locally harvested hazel rods, so you will go home with new skills and a few pegs to cherish and use! This workshop will also introduce you to Greenwood-working, and to the tools and techniques of this wonderful craft. This course is a pre-requisite to the Foundation 2 GWW: Spoon-carving workshop.
Once you have done this course you will be able to join the 'Peg-Makers Guild' so that you can keep coming to sessions to build up your peg supply. You'll also be able to go on and do the Foundation 2 GWW: Spoon-carving workshop.
There are 6 places available in this workshop and booking is essential, and non-refundable.
