Monday 24th April 2017 10am to 2pm, Rekindle's Resourceful Ōtautahi Craft Workshop, on the back of the section at 100 Peterborough Street, Christchurch. Opposite the Peterborough Street Library. Outdoors but under shelter.

ESSENTIAL TO BOOK BELOW PLEASE... This course is free so that it is accessible to all, but we do need people to book in to take part please.  We do have a koha jar if you feel you would like to contribute to workshop costs, or you can make a donation as you book below.

This short course will give you a resourceful skill that you'll be able to use in so many ways for the rest of your life!  This technique for making string and rope is simple and can be used with many different materials. We will teach you how to use tī kōuka / cabbage tree leaves as these are abundantly available. If you have access to tī kōuka / cabbage tree leaves, do bring in as big a bundle as you can!

This course is suited to adults and children, young children will need adult support for success. Please wear closed toe shoes and clothing for working outdoors.
