Vernacular colours with Arina Terekhova of Blue Gum Fibres at various times on Saturday 10, Sunday 11 & Saturday 17 November

Discover how to extract colours from local seasonal foliage.

In this workshop Arina will share her rich experience with you as you create a beautifully dyed fabric panel using foliage foraged from Ōtautahi. This is a chemical free process making it safe for both participants and our land.

Learn about traditional dye making practices, how to gather natural materials and how to create your own natural dye palette.

Arina approaches this creative practice from a love for nature and with a background in architecture, graphic design and theatre decor.

PLEASE NOTE: For the workshop sessions marked with an asterisk on Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th, you will need to have purchased a festival ticket to gain entry to the area where these workshops are being held.
