Sunday 24 February 2019 1-5pm - Basket-weaving with tī kōuka/cabbage tree leaves

Basket-weaving with Tī kōuka /cabbage tree leaves at our beautiful workshop upstairs in the Boys' High Building in The Arts Centre.

This course will give you a resourceful skill that you'll be able to use in so many ways for the rest of your life!  This technique for basket-weaving can be used with many different materials. We will teach you how to use tī kōuka / cabbage tree leaves as these are abundantly available. 

If you have access to fallen/brown tī kōuka / cabbage tree leaves, please bring in as big a bundle as you can! Please soak them first in water overnight if possible, if not longer.
