(Rekindle Workshop, upstairs in the Boys’ High building at The Arts Centre, 28 Worcester Boulevard)
In this workshop Simone Bensdorp of Wild Felt will teach you how to make a felt case for a laptop, tablet or other device, using natural, undyed, New Zealand wool and traditional felting techniques.
Wool felt-making is the oldest known way to make fabric, simply by combining wool, soap and water. This handmade product requires no fancy machines or chemicals, it is a simple practice that anyone can learn and use.
You will design and make your own felt case (up to 35 x 25 cm in size) and leave with the skills to continue felting at home.

Minimum numbers are required for the class to run.
Bookings are essential, non-refundable and non-transferable. We do, however, understand that things come up and try and accommodate people to the best of our ability. This can include moving people to another class or a refund - but please be aware that this is reliant on us filling the original spot.
This is because all of our pricing, and our efforts to keep costs as low as possible while still paying the tutors a fee commensurate with their experience and allowing them to cover the costs of living, is based on running these classes with a certain number of participants.
We are grateful to the support of CNZ, which has enabled us to offer this workshop at a subsidised rate.
