This class with Steven Junil Park takes place in our workshop at the Arts Centre, which is located upstairs in the Boys’ High building at 28 Worcester Boulevard.
Connect more intimately to a garment that is special to you by making a hand embroidered name tag. Make one as a special gift for a friend or as a decorative patch to wear on the outside of your clothing!
Bring a textile and thread you would like to use. If you don't have any we can find something for you. If you have a garment you would like to tag, please bring that also.
There are 8 places available in this workshop. This class is suitable for adults.
Minimum numbers are required for the class to run.
About your tutor
Steven Junil Park is a craftsperson concerned with making functional objects from recycled or repurposed materials. He is the pair of hands behind the label '6x4' under which he explores all manner of objects to do with human living, focusing on apparel.
Bookings are essential, non-refundable and non-transferable. We do, however, understand that things come up and try and accommodate people to the best of our ability. This can include moving people to another class or a refund - but please be aware that this is reliant on us filling the original spot. This is because all of our pricing, and our efforts to keep costs as low as possible while still paying the tutors a fee commensurate with their experience and allowing them to cover the costs of living, is based on running these classes with a certain number of participants
We are grateful for the support of CNZ, which has allowed us to offer this class at a subsidised rate.
Management of COVID-19 risk
Participants who are unwell, or who are required to self-isolate, must not attend the workshop. Refunds will be given if participants need to miss the workshop in order to manage the risk of COVID-19, however we need to be advised of this as soon as possible, so that we can fill the space. Refunds will not be given if participants arrive to the workshop unwell on the day.
