Learning how to darn and repair your clothing makes it last longer and age beautifully. It also grows your connection to your clothes through this hand-work.
This workshop by Steven Park of 6x4 is a beautiful opportunity to re-engage with ancient art of clothing repair through darning. This is indeed a necessary tradition.
Steven is running 3 separate workshops at Necessary Traditions:
Hand Darning: Friday November 16th 11am to 12.30pm (sold out, sorry!), or 3pm to 4.30pm.
Hand Sewn Buttonholes: November 16th 1pm to 2.30pm.
For Hand Darning: An item of clothing for mending and matching thread if you have it.
This is a workshop suited for adults only, no children please. Bookings are essential and non-refundable.
Huge thanks to the Arts Centre for supporting the festival and this workshop
