Why?

Maker

Ayumi Hirata grew up in Osaka, Japan, and moved to Aotearoa New Zealand in 2010. During her studies, she started thinking about what it really means to be sustainable and what she can do. These thoughts led her back to Japan, to the centuries-old practice of Furoshiki.

Ayumi began teaching her workshops at Rekindle in 2023, and elsewhere through her business Fab Wrap
