For those of you who have attended one of our basket making workshops - come back, practice and refresh your skills!
This session with Ngaio Cowell, is an opportunity to enjoy basket weaving with others, at our Matatiki Toi Ora Arts Centre workshop, located upstairs in the former Boys’ High building at 28 Worcester Boulevard.
These sessions are available to those who have previously attended our basket weaving workshop.
Please bring with you some pre-soaked tī kōuka leaves for your work, but rest assured that we will provide enough for those of you who that will not be practical for.
Ngaio Cowell (Tainui; Ngāti Te Ata & Ngāti Porou) is a craftsperson who takes inspiration from nature. Ngaio is currently in her second year of studying raranga at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. She has learnt to weave with tī kōuka from Diana Duncan and continues to create artworks from foraged and native materials through business Tipu Toi.
Bookings are non-refundable
A credit may be issued if you are unable to attend due to illness or COVID isolation and advise Rekindle as soon as possible, prior to your workshop. A transfer fee may apply.
Credits will not be issued with less than 24 hours notice given.
