Sunday 27 October, 11am–3pm, Tī kōuka mat workshop

(Rekindle Workshop, upstairs in the Boys’ High building at The Arts Centre, 28 Worcester Boulevard)

This workshop teaches you to use tī kōuka or cabbage tree leaves to weave a table mat, which involves a round weave. This technique can be used with many different plant fibres & other materials.
This class is best suited to those who have already completed our basket-weaving class, due to some of the techniques. But we are very happy to welcome those who are keen.

If you have access to tī kōuka / cabbage tree leaves, do bring in as big a bundle as you can! We would be most appreciative as we always need more of this valuable resource.

There are 8 places available in this workshop and booking is essential, and non-refundable.

We are grateful for the support of CNZ, which has allowed us to offer this class at a subsidised rate.
