This class is held in the Rekindle Workshop at The Arts Centre, (upstairs in the Boys’ High building at 28 Worcester Boulevard)
We are now running this over 1.5 hours.
During this workshop – an introduction to a wonderful resourceful and traditional craft – Adrian will share his love of harakeke weaving or raranga. The group will learn how to weave through a project to suit beginners - such as making flowers from flax or a fish. They will also learn some of the basic concepts of tikanga and hear stories.
This class is suitable for children 8 years and above. Children must be supervised.
Please wear comfortable clothes for working in.
Bookings are essential and non-refundable.
We are grateful for the support of CNZ, which has allowed us to offer this class at a subsidised rate.
