Sunday 17 November, 2-4.30pm - Hands-on introduction to soap-making with Steph Owens

This interactive soap class is held in the Rekindle workshop, which is located upstairs in the Boys’ High building at 28 Worcester Boulevard.

Stephanie Owens will show you how easy soap making can be so that you can build confidence towards making your own soap at home. Together you will make a gentle and non-drying soap that contains shea butter, coconut oil and olive oil. You will also discuss the soap making process and how to develop it to suit your needs. You will go home with a bar of soap to cure and sample.

Safety is important in this workshop as we will be working with lye. Protective gear is supplied.

Children must be over 13 years and come with one adult per child, over 16 years old fine to come on their own

There are 7 places in this workshop.

Minimum numbers are required for the class to run.

Bookings are essential, non-refundable and non-transferable. We do, however, understand that things come up and try and accommodate people to the best of our ability. This can include moving people to another class or a refund - but please be aware that this is reliant on us filling the original spot.

This is because all of our pricing, and our efforts to keep costs as low as possible while still paying the tutors a fee commensurate with their experience and allowing them to cover the costs of living, is based on running these classes with a certain number of participants

We are grateful to the support of CNZ, which has enabled us to offer this workshop at a reduced rate.

The price covers a portion of the: tutor's wage, workshop rent, materials & the labour to collect them, tools & their maintenance, electricity, insurance & other overheads. We are working to keep workshop prices as low as we possibly can.
