Friday 26 April, 12–1pm, Making flax flowers: Harakeke weaving for beginners of all ages

This class is held in at the Rekindle workshop at The Arts Centre (upstairs in the Boys’ High building at 28 Worcester Boulevard)

There are 10 places available. Each child/young person must be accompanied by an adult.

During this workshop Benita Wakefield (Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Kere, Ngāti Irakehu) will share her love of harakeke weaving or raranga.

Benita will introduce this beautiful resourceful craft, and teach the group how to make flowers from flax - a project to suit beginners.

Please bring a pair of scissors, and wear comfortable clothes for working in.
