Experience the incredible world of block printing! Kuva Zakheim will take you on a journey into the mysterious and rich history of Indian hand-block printing, and share his knowledge and practice of this tradition.
You will have the opportunity to block-print a Tote Bag, and an item from your own home or closet (Please bring a shirt, skirt, pants, bag, pillow case, something you would like to give new life with block printing!).
If you want to gain some more black-printing skills book the Level 2 Workshop too. Stay on after the Introduction Workshop and take your block-printing skills to the next level. Learn to carve your own blocks and make a dye tray with readily available materials, work with layers and colours to create your own designs.
These workshops are on Thursday 15th Nov, 2pm-3pm (Introduction), 3pm-4:30pm (Level 2), Friday 16th November 3pm-4pm (Introduction), in the stunning old Gym building at the Arts Centre.
