In this workshop you will learn the basics of creating ink from natural materials. Together we will make two different inks using foraged local plants and/or food scraps. We will then carve our own pens from bamboo, and use these to experiment with different inks and modifiers to create a wide range of natural colours. You will leave with a sample of ink, your handmade pen, and the knowledge to keep creating ink on your own.
Please note: This workshop is for adults only please, as it is not suitable for children. Please bring a 2 small jars to store your ink in, and pen and paper if you wish to take notes. All other materials will be provided.

Simone's workshops aim to equip people with practical skills, whilst providing a safe space for creative expression and learning. She loves sharing the knowledge of traditional crafts, and the inevitable stories, laughter and connections that come with it.
